So far, 'March Madness' seems a relatively mild form of irrationality

Having missed the previous MM sale (I only got into 3D last April), I've ben eagerly awaiting this one, which will be my first. But so far, there hasn't been much sign of what I would call madness. Does it get less sane when March actually rolls in?

Well, I'll put it this way. Last March blew in like a lamb and left like a lion, in terms of forum talk about the intensity of it.
However, actual release-wise, it is mostly going to be more of the same stuff you've seen. A new Feature or two, some stuff from less prolific but popular vendors they've saved for March, and lots of stuff from the vendors who sell lots of stuff. There will probably be at least one and maybe two 'Catch-Up Sales', which you've seen before. There's, I think, a small chance of some announcement related to Daz Studio or Daz3d itself, give how aggressively they've been moving lately.
Give it time. Back in the day there used to be some pretty ridiculous deals but now it seems the approach is to start with slightly improved stackiable dsicounts, then over time offer a few "today only" really good deals and end it with a so-called "catch-up sale" where it all goes back on sale. Every year anymore I start of thinking "is this it this year?" and then end up buying lots of stuff as the month goes on.
I feel March Madness like the image of the party below when compared to Fast Grab discounts, always 70% off.
Last year I entered March Madness about Halfway. Right when Mika 7 wass released. Got her Pro bundle and three related items for $33 total. The same day was also a gift card sale where if you bought Mika 7 you got an extra discount on gift cards. picked up a gift card for 24% off, which is near the best we can expect for gift card discounts I believe. This in essence gave me an extra 24% discount on the majority of my purchases for the rest of the event.
In my opinion March Madness tends to build over a week or two to a few really great deals and a is a steady stream of daily deals that would be considered a fairly good deal throughout the rest of the year.
