Disable Quaternion for Genesis 2

Hello! I was looking into ways to export JCM to UE4 using Daz-Goz-Zbrush using custom JCM, I've had a little bit of success but the previsualization aspect is kind of messy and I end up guessing lots of vertices.

I've disabled Triax Weights and don't want to get into Maya or 3Ds max to load the morphs.

So basically I was wondering if anyone knows if is there any way to disable DQ from within Daz because I still see the model different in the Daz viewport from the UE4 viewport even though Triax is disabled.

Thanks in advance!

  • With the Node weight paint Brush tool active go to the Tool Settings pane and in the Binding tab you will see a button labelled General Weight mode, set to Dual Quaternion - click that and you should be able to change it to Linear, though I don't know if that will match UE4.

  • Hi Richard, thanks for the reply I had no idea that menu existed. Unfortunately, I exported it and it looks the same- I did try all the combinations: Converting the figure rigging to General / from the Tool Settings Menu, the Weight Mapping Modes, the gW, as well as the scale weights in every order.

It's just going to take a little bit more time. Cheers!

  • Change the whole rig from DQ to "regular" or "legacy" or " weight blended" weights ( I forget what daz calls it)in the rigging drop down menu.
