Can I modify a mesh that explodes in blender and use it for dForce simulation? OOT Cherokee skirt.

Hi. I am speaking of a certain mesh called Cherokee by Out of Touch. It is a native american skirt. When I run the simulation, it works for a few frames then explodes. Is there a way for me to fix the mesh in blender? If so, can someone tell me the kind of fixes I will need to make? Thank you!

Did you try turning off object self-collisions and make the surfaces stiffer?  Sometimes that helps. And if the item is the one I'm thinking of, you may have luck applying a weight map to keep the feathers, laces, and eyelets from being part of the simulation.  Explosion usually happens when dForce tries to collide too many vertices/faces together with surface settings that are springy or high friction. The surfaces want to go everywhere at once.  Also, parts of clothing will fall off if they have not been welded into the rest of the geometry -- something that was usually not a problem in conforming clothes.  You may well be able to fix the problem without meddling with geometry.
