This can't be coincidence: Edward and Alexandra?

I suppose DAZ couldn't name its most recent addition Edward 7 instead of 8, but it strikes me funny that Alexandra, the next most recent addition, was the name of Edward VII's queen (she was a beauty who kept her looks well into middle age). So I can't help wondering whether this is just one of those things, or someone at DAZ 3D is a student of history with a sly sense of humour. Waddya think?

As soon as I saw Edward 8 I thought 'Where's Mrs Simpson?' :)

That's funny, I didn't even notice that connection. If they had spelled it VIII instead...wink

[ edit/afterthought: I'm just glad DAZ spared us Wallis 8. Wouldn't have sold anyway. ]

I think Alexandra’s name was change and it was initially something like Chloe.

  • Christened 'Alexandra Caroline Marie Charlotte Louise Julia' according to the Wikipedia, just as Edward was christened 'Albert Edward', but known to his family and close friends as 'Bertie'.

Well, so far there are Alexandra and Charlotte, and we may get a preteen Julie 8. That leaves Caroline, Marie, and Louise. LOL. Possibly an Albert or Bertie? Have we found a key to the Daz new character line up? ^_~

Albert Edward makes me think of Eddie Albert from the Green Acres. He was married on TV to an actress of some sort of Hungarian nobility too, LOL.

I remember her well, and her sisters. Too bad one of them ended up a laughingstock, a pathetic caricature or her former self, because she was a babe in her day.

I assume you mean Eva Gabor who was Hungarian  born but not nobility. (her stepfather was a Hungarian Count)

To grow so old and die with a devoted husband is not so bad; it is just too back that medical therapy is not up to the task of enabling her to be more mobile and enjoy getting around more when she got old. Maybe by the time we get so old therapy either won't be needed or better than was available for her, should any of us get that old. indecision
