so I just went crazy with Alexandra 8 ... noew comes some dude named Edward. My dad's anme, by the way. Anyway ... to get the most bang for your buck, I put the pro bundle in my cart..Being a PC+ member, it went in at $66 (round for ease of. ) Then, by adding some add-ons, ?I got it dwon to $46. The adds, textures only for what is in the pro bundle, cost $18, but it brought the cost of the Pro bundle down to $46 ..so I'm PLUS $2.
THEN ..I now get THREE additional bundles FREE, from a rather extensive list ... By buying PRO bundles, normally $135 each, total $405 I can get 3 pro bundles for FREE.... awesome wow, going on there.
And I think you can apply your PC coupon as well ...
BUT, having just spent big bucks on Alexandra 8, I'm tapped right now.
I think DAZ has too many bundle sales like this too close together ... maybe every 3 weeks or so would be good.

No kidding, do I save money for rent, or have a fun night out at the strip club, hmmmmmmmmm
The great thing about DAZ, is that everything goes on sale often and at varying prices, so no need to worry.
Here's the thing, you don't have to buy something just because it's new or on sale. Especially here. I have so much stuff on my wish list that is firmly filed under "would be nice to have, but if I wait it will be super cheap or free".
For me the choice usually is quite easy, as I am on a very limited budget.
As those Pro packages usually come with quite a lot of stuff that I don't have any need for in the foreseeable future, and further boni also work with more items, that I do not really need, to get stuff that would be nice to have, but is not really necessary to achieve what I want to do with DAZ, I just lean back and don't buy them...
If there was a pro package coming up with lots of stuff from my wishlist that would probably change...

Alexandra, on the other hand, will have to wait for at least a couple of months, even though I do like her. I'm just overrun with females of G2 and G3 generations, with a few from G1, and too-many-to-justify-buying-any-of-the-Genesis-girls in the V4 generation. My runtime needs more men, and an extensive wardrobe for those men. Looks like I'll have to make the clothing myself, though, so Marvelous Designer is in my future. Soon, too.
@daveso, the secret is to put blinders on, and only buy what you need when you need it. You'll buy a lot more stuff at full price, but in the long run, you'll spend less. And you won't have to explain to your spouse why you've spent enough on 3D content to buy a little economy car. Cash! I'm not kidding. I've spent more at Daz then my husband paid for his last used car. Add about $3000 to what I've spent, and we could have paid cash for his brand new, (when we bought it in 2015,) Ford Fiesta! This hobby is both addictive, and expensive. Especially because of the great sales discounts and free-with-purchase offers!

I've spent more than I even realize. Sometimes it gives me the chills...i could have some clothes or take vacation. At least RDNA is gone..I was buying a lot from there, here, and that other "R" place. Plus I was running around some of the other places as well ...
Isn;t it great the DAZ STudio is FREE? That's pretty funny actually. It is possile though to not spend a dime and still get out some decent work. Depends on creativity and artistic ability. I think I buy more as I have neither.
Hmmm. I wonder if I could learn to use Marvelous Designer. I’ve heard it’s a lot like actual sewing, which I suck at.
Which bits? It's like sewing in that you need to visualise how the flat pieces are going to join together in 3D space around the wearer.
i was just watching a video on MD ... I was like..WOW !!!!
Then I looked at the price. serious letdown that was. It would end my DAZ purchases, thats for sure...
The steam version is on sale from time to time for less than 300 bucks. The downside is that the Steam version isn't a perpetual license like the $500+ standalone version. If you can live with that, and with having to go thru Steam, that might be an option for you.

What was that you were just saying about spending more than you realized on 3D content?
In the past three years, there have been too many months where I've spent $500 or more. However, I checked, and MD accepts Paypal. I believe that means they also take Paypal Credit. With a $500 purchase, you can use the "6 mos. to pay" option, then pay about $84 a month over the following six months, and not impact your spending at Daz all that much. Especially as you'll need to buy less when you are making a lot of your own clothes for your 3D family.
In the long run, buying that perpetual license could end up saving you thousands in purchases to Daz and elsewhere, while at the same time, allowing you to afford to buy more new releases for things other than clothes, which tend to be more expensive to begin with, like anything from Stonemason, TangoAlpha, ThePhilosopher, Marshian, Zev0... to name only a few. (And as I write this, I wonder, why didn't I buy MD a couple of years ago!?)
Well, with that "get 90% off when you buy 4 (or more) items" deal for V4/M4 today DAZ was able to make me spend at least some money that I didn't intend to spend this month..But even then it was "it really looks great, but do I really NEED it?" for several items, that first went into the shopping card, but then got sorted out again..
I'll have to poke at the free trial, I guess. It would be fun to make some of the clothes I wish I had, though yeah, that price is prohibitive. And you'd still have to rig the clothes or something, right?
Export them from MD as OBJ, import to Studio and use the Transfer Utility to rig.
You can, but you actually don't have to. You just do your simulations in MD. This is my absolute favorite method of getting clothing on a figure. MD is capable of doing clothing designs that aren't even really riggable in DS. All the limitations just go away.
