Splitting content into your own categories

I install with DIM into my own costum categories (M8 hair, M8 characters etc.). Some content, like hair, comes with two generations (like hair for M8 and M7) and since I am unable to split it in DIM, I want to split them in my content library. I used to be able to that at some point in the past, but I am unable to now. I don't want to move them manually because that would screw with updates and such plus it's a huge pain to move everything like that.

The categories that show up when I try to move content into a new parent category, are the default ones by DS, and not my own. I am pretty sure I was able to in the past. Has it changed or am I overlooking something?

Try right-clicking on the category you want your new categiry to be in - ideally add a new top-level Users category

Oh, that might work! I'm going to give it a try and report back~

I ended up making new categories through the category categories. That gives me full control over my content, without me touching the actual folders on my HD. Thank you!
