Mapping for Gen 3 and 8

Hi,  need to know, mapping for Genesis 3 and Genesis 8 basically the same or no? 

Looking at Merchant Resources and don't want to buy stuff I can't use.

but as discussed in other threads, unless the vendor of the MR allows for use on a different figure, it can't be used without permission. Best to contact the vendor to see if the MR can be used on a different figure.

More like "if the vendor of the MR restricts the use to G3, it can't be used on G8 without permission." There are a lot that don't, even existing in the DAZ shop. https://www.daz3d.com/build-a-babe-skin-texture-merchant-resource

Well considering I just dropped $100.00 on MR's for both the male and female and considering both generations use the same mapping if there are restrictions I don't know about or were not displayed for me to see clearly and quickly then those merchants will be loosing a sale or 3 from me.  I bought Morris medium skin for Genesis 3 females (I own the Medium for Gen 3 males) and Forbidden Whispers packs for Genesis 3 both male and female. Never knew either to be sticklers like that.  I also own Hinky Punk's set you linked me too.... I like her's because they are all in PS files with tons of options.
