Trouble with attachments

Attachment never show in posts. This time it's 34KB and a JPG.. After I browse and load the image I then go to preview post and the attachment field clears. Anyone know what I may be doing wrong?

If you add it and preview, post from the preview screen, as long as it shows an attachment below the attach field .

Previewing after adding an attachment clears the attach field so that you can then add a 2nd attachment. You can attach up to 5 files.
