Doubts about the Interactive License.

I asked in another thread but it went unnoticed. Could someone solve this doubt?

If you buy a Standard License, can you then extend it to an Interactive License? This is important because in the contract it says that the Interactive License can not be refunded, so before buying the Interactive License you should buy the Standard License to test it.

And another question, when you buy an Interactive License, do they charge you the price of the Interactive License + Standard License or just the price of the Interactive License?

The interactive license is an add-on, so in addition to the standard license. If it is available for a product, you can purchase that license at the time of purchase or later.. The standard license is the basic EULA which is limited for commercial use to 2D renders and animations. So for games, it would mostly be 2D sprites. The interactive adds-on 3D usage as indicated in that license's EULA.
If you purchase later the software will know you already have the product.   the Add to cart button will be red and say purchased. If uou tick the box by "interactive license"  it turns green and says "Add License"

Ok, everything has been clear. Thank you very much. :)

One more question, some packages, such as Genesis, are free but have an Interactive License. I imagine that it is necessary to buy the Interactive License to be able to use it in my videogame, although the Standard License is free.

Yes, the free license is just the standard (2D only) license, the Intractive license is needed for anything that embeds 3D data (as long as the embedding is according to the terms of the Interactive license).

Regarding the Interactive License, I have been looking into this but have not found a definitive answer to the following questions, perhaps someone in this thread can.

After the purchase of an Interactive License can the asset be ported to a game engine like Unity? or upload that asset to an online game?

The asset would be non-transferable, as I understand it that would mean no one could copy it, or purchase it on that platform.

It would only be used as a static asset. (Like a Room with furnature for example).

I think clothing is a different issue but if anyone could address it that would be useful too.

Well, I think that if you buy the Interactive License you can export the models to Unity and do what you want. It is what I understand in this link.

If however, You want to create an experience where someone can alter what is happening, such as an application or a video game that changes depending on what the user does, then such things will generally require access to information about the 3D assets so that it can move them around, alter them, and generally manipulate them to change the user experience.

I suggest that if you have any doubts as to what exactly the interactive license covers you shoukd contact Daz HERE rather than rely on what you read in the forums.  Please remember that the forums are for members, and not neccesarily followed by Daz 3D staff.

With the older Games Dev license it was sold only for developing new games. the new intereactive licenses are different,  so for true clarification do contact Daz 3D as even the Moderators can not be held to be the definitive authority for this sort of query.
