New Fast Grabs are up; but the whole site is acting up with lots of time out and other errors. It was especially difficult to reach the forums.
Today is shaping up to be a weird day.
So far...my connection, which is normally very stable, is very intermittent on this site. I suspect server maintenance or something is going on.
Also, all of the DAZ 3D Freebies aren't free today. They're showing up at -51%.
..yeah this morning when I opened up FF (the Tab for Daz automatically appears) I kept getting Clouflare errors
Now when I change a page, I get the following message:
That's been showing up for me at random ever since the changeover to either Magento or Cloudflare, I forget which (i.e. for at least the last couple of years). Then the proper page shows anyway. Whatever it means, it seems to have no visible effect whatsoever.
I get that every time I load up the DAZ marketplace and click on any link before it all loads completely
At a guess, the personalization stuff -- i.e. marking which products you own, and some other stuff as well -- is done in the web browser, using Javascript, rather than being done on the back-end as part of the process of generating the page. The information about you that lets the in-page Javascript decide how to tweak the page is sent through as a separate data file, probably in JSON format.
If the connection is iffy, or the back-end is heavily loaded, or you click a link before the page finishes loading fully, then that data file may never reach your browser. When the Javascript that is supposed to customize the page for you starts running, it realizes that it never got the data file and it has no idea what to do. So it displays a message to warn you that the page you're seeing doesn't reflect your account. In particular, products that you already own may not be hidden from you if you have the "Hide Items I Own" checkbox checked.
It's not a big deal, but if you see the warning message, just be aware that you may see some stuff you already own on the page.

That HistoricJapanese train station looks sweet. Too bad there aren't any period Japanese clothing in the catalog to people it with.
I'm thinking I'm going to have to pick that up despite it being a not spend week. That PA has a bunch of other historical Japanese sets too I really want. Other sets may be fancier but they're so beautifully accurate.

If anyone has it, does it have visibiliy on/off options for walls, etc. - or do you need to struggle to get desired camera angles?
I don't have it - but the descriptions says "Passenger train's Roof, Left side with the seat and floor, Right side with windows and doors are separated."
Some new items in fastgrab. Some remain from yesterday.
The station is all one bone, but has a TON of material zones that you can just clear the opacity for. Unfortunately, they're very layered, and all named in japanese, so selecting the right one can be difficult.
The steam engine is another object, again with lots of material zones.
The train car is the third object, and has a lot of bones for turning things on and off.
The package also has some cameras and a lot of Point Lights.
Wow, Sands of Time? Wasn't this released a relatively short time ago?
I remember seeing it float past me at some point and thinking that it was a beautiful idea but that I couldn't justify the price in proportion to the use I'd get out of it. Seeing it in Fast Grab just now, the price was right and so I bought it. I was surprised to see that the poses were for G3F - it's seldom that you see something so recent in Fast Grab.

I was adding some things from AeonSoul into my cart, at 76% off, plus 20% for buying one of today's new releases... under $4 each... except the Blink Sale went into effect and dropped it down to 60%... don't think I even got the 20% off, now that I think about it. I'll have to check. Anyway, only got one item instead. Apparently I have really bad timing.
The 20% off for owning/buying Ivan does seem to apply to Aeon Soul stuff currently. So if you add an Aeon Soul product to your cart (and you own Ivan), you should get it at 68% off (i.e. Neo Ayane Future, at $17.95, is $7.18 at 60% off, and the additional 20% off takes it down to $5.74, which is just 32% of the full price, or 68% off). That's about as big a discount as you'll see outside FastGrab or old V4/M4 stuff these days.
