You have to buy one of today's new PC items... Which I had already done.
Daz, use your common sense with these sales!
This happens a lot :/
It's just so bizarre! They would have scored some additional sales if they had simply made the offer coincide!
True. I had 11 items in my cart last night, (DAZ Midnight is 11pm for me,) and decided to wait for this very reason. Too bad for DAZ. By the time I got up today, I'd talked myself out of everything in my cart except this week's PC freebie. And now I'll not take advantage of the flash sales for the same reason I talked myself out of getting Gianni 7 and a bunch of G3 and G2 stuff, (at under $2 each.)
The banner states, "Buy a PC+ item marked as new, (excluding free items,)" so it doesn't have to be one today's releases. Any PC+ item with the "New" sticker in the upper right-hand corner will qualify.
Jack Tomalins store is supposed to be on sale, but a lot of items (Anderson Hall, for example) aren't showing a discount. As far as I can tell, it isn't a PC+ item, so shouldn't it have the discount?
It won't show up in store, but should show up in your cart if you've also added a new PC+ item to your cart.
Yeah, but how likely is it that PC members haven't already got all the 'new' products they want to get? :) It's clearly an offer designed to tempt them into getting today's offers - but many of us had already purchased them by the time that went live.
The idea here, I guess, is to buy something you didn't originally want.
PC Items always go straight into my wishlist and I save them for either PC anniversary or another sale that they're half price... so for me, I cleared out my wishlist :D
New items have been added to Fast Grab!

Considering how many comments I've seen on the forum about "complaing wallets," "hiding credit cards," and so on, I'd say it's very likely. I know I've passed up a lot of PC+ items I'd like to have because my budget is currently non-existent. If I'm going to overspend, it's going to be on a deal too good to pass up. And I've passed up a number of those lately!
Don't forget, too, there are a lot of DAZ customers who are not PC+ members. PC+ items are not discounted for them, beyond the New Release 30% off. Those customers are very unlikely to put all the PC+ items in their carts as soon as they are released. So while it might have been frustrating for some/many PC+ members, it could have been a great sale for non-members. And if DAZ picked up new PC+ members in the process, it's a win for DAZ.
That said, I still prefer flash sales that do not have a purchase requirement. Same for featured artist categories part of new release sales.
Why on earth would you be a regular customer but not a PC+ member? I guess if you only bought, uh, PA items and avoided DO items like the plague? PC+ pays for itself really quickly (I'm using 'regular customer' to mean more than 1 purchase a month.)
Personally I used to buy all the new items I wanted for the day within an hour of changeover. Then I learned that sales that day reguarly screw over anyone who does this and now I wait til the end of the day. Because distrusting a store is a good thing to train into your customers.
I agree with prefering there not be a purchase requirement, but there's also the counter that if you weren't purchasing their new item, they wouldn't be having the flash sale in the first place.
"I'm not going to buy that often... I don't need that."
Then a year later they look back and think, "Well, poop. But I'm not gonna spend that much *this* year."
I agree regarding membership of the PC+ club, unless you are a very casual buyer (ie less that 100 dollars for a whole year) then the club is worth every cent. I only paid 28 dollars for my last yearly subscription, and even putting aside the 30% discount, and the much cheaper PC+ products, you still get 64 freebies a year (plus another 20 odd during the PC sale), plus 144 dollars of vouchers. Compared to the "prime" clubs at "other" stores I could mention, the one here is a bargain.
As the saying goes, "Different strokes for different folks." There are probably as many different buying habits here as there are customers.
...I usually like to use sheep as a method of barter however the market in Utah for the woolly critters is glutted right now.
WOOD FOR SHEEP
...not Ed Wood I hope.
I have been a member here for 10 yrs and was a PC member for the first five. It got to a point back then that there wasn't much product I didn't have and it seemed the same things ended up as specials for PC members and so I dropped my membership and really haven't thought about it since then, While I am selective in my buying (hardly any male items and hardly ever any texture sets) I still spend more than I should monthly.
I'm going to take a wild guess that you're in the minority of currently shopping members (10 years holy cow.)
The first product I bought was Aiko 6 Pro Bundle. Buying a 3 month PC+ membership first meant that the bundle was cheaper than full price while also paying for the PC+ and gave me 3 months of discounts and $36 of coupons. That's some pretty amazing value in my book.
...been here eight years myself. First purchase was the V4.2 Pro Bundle followed by 3DU's Teen Ashley character. Didn't join the PC until several months later, then the savings really got big.
If you only but female items, that does not exactly significantly limit your buying options, given 75%+ of all releases are for females. Also if you never bought DO's but only PA products, your are still likely to save money with PC+ due to the monthly 6$ PA coupon.

New stuff in fastgrab.
Lots of new stuff in fastgrab. 11 total.
...new freebies as well.
The Daily email says 2 hour blink sales all day. I haven't seen any in the sliding banner yet; but keep your eyes open and watch for them.
