Should it not be 76% (60% stacking with 40%) off all DOs for PC+ members? All I am seeing is 70%.

I don't know if the 60% (instead of 50%) for PC+ members is even working at all. I'm only seeing 50% off on non-DOs

Wow OzChicks flash sale was truely a flash sale..lol because it was gone in a flash.  I had shopped the flash sale for about 10 minutes I had  put 3 items in the cart from my whishlist.and went to check out and poof, the discounts were gone went back to the page and the discounts were gone there too.  Oh well just saved myself $23 bucks Back in my wishlist they went.

OziChick is now showing 40% or 80% if a Daz Original (I'm a PC Plus member) for me, of course it might be different by the time I finish typing this :)

Discounts are showing again. But DO discount is not stacking. Notice the fine print on the Flash Sale banner: "*Excludes new releases and PC+ Items. Discount does not combine with any offers."

Same small print for Nightshift3D's Flash Sale.

So is this trend just for the Anniversary Sale? Or is this going to be the new norm?
    sad

It is. They did away with stacking and I missed it. Everything is just 60% off (for PC) with no extra for Daz Originals.

Oh well there were just a couple DOs I would have bought at 70% off and I didn't want them enough to buy at the increased price from going to 60% off. So, I saved a couple of dollars for another day

We need a code word when something is stacking, instead of mentioning it.  How about, "Flash Sale is on, and it is NOT stacking at all, wink, wink, nudge, nudge, know what I mean?!" cheeky

Why won't the add to cart buttons work for the normal flash sale items?

  • mtl1mtl1 Posts: 1,508

So, here's my biggest problem with the Flash Sale right now: it's literally a worse deal than any of the artists on spotlight especially if you're a PC+ member and it doesn't make sense from a sales standpoint.

Currently, deals on spotlight artists are -40% (-50% with purchase). This stacks with the PC+ discount (at -40% currently), giving you -64% base or -70% with purchase. Either one of those options, with or without purchases, is *already* better than the Flash Sale.

Removal of stacking directly discourages potential sales because chances are that Ozichick or any other PA will appear again on the artist spotlight. People will simply wait.

I'm sending a message to customer service because I honestly cannot understand their motives for doing this. I really hope they listen to this feedback.

Not everyone is a PC member, so we appreciate the fastgrab sales!

Oh, don't get me wrong, flash grab sales are amazing and are appreciated! But not being able to take advantage of something we PC+ members have paid for -- during a PC+ event no less -- just feels... off, I guess.

But yeah, that's enough griping on my part. Sorry for the derail.

Heh. I just got some money, bought myself a gift card.

'Now Will,' I tells myself, 'let's be frugal, there's a lot of time left in the sale, sure we should pick up the special crazy deals, but...'
    WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Ok, I have a little money left for remaining bundles...

It is highly unusual for the PC discount not to stack. Odd that the DO and PA items are showing the same discount, I do not see that very often.

I've given up with this crazy sale. I'm just going to wait for it to end and then hope something simpler comes along.

Shopping Sickleyield's flash sale and it ended as I was checking out - fortunately I noticed the increased figure on the first PayPal screen and backed out. I couldn't be bothered to look at the rest of the flash sales after that. Not a very friendly attitude, maybe, but I only visited the site fifteen minutes before Sickleyield's sale ended and don't think it's all that friendly to suddenly pull the rug out from under the people who don't/can't sit on the site all day either.

Shopping should be 'a pay the price you're presented with, take your goods and go' kind of thing. I can't think of anywhere else where the price randomly changes mid-transaction.

It would also be really nice if the prices in the artist stores reflected the sales advertised on the main page. Right now, the main page says Slosh, 3D Universe, and Lyoness are on sale, but I don't see any discounts on any of their products.

Of course, right after posting that, I reload and the prices show up properly.

Sickleyield is one of the Featured Premier Artists in the Anniversary Sale. I'm sure being included as a Flash Sale was a mistake to begin with.

However, I do agree prices shouldn't change mid-transaction. While it isn't an excuse, I'm sure it has to do with limitations of the software the site is built on. A lot different than a sticker on an item in a brick-and-mortar.

The other three Flash Sales are still going on.

ETA: Murgatroyd's comment hadn't been posted when I started my comment... And I didn't post until after I'd perused all three Flash Sales. laugh

Yeah, Sickleyields flash sale was more of a blink sale... I checked the shop before heading to work, and there were no flash sales... I went to break and SY's store was on sale. I had some store credit, so I was able to pick up a couple items... about 1 hr later SY's store was no longer on sale... I'm just glad I didn't wait to get home...

The great thing about flash sales is that while I might not necessarily want items now, it's a great way to be clued in on stuff I might want later.

Just a heads up that some of the Wound Geometry Shell products from SimonWM isn't triggering on the Flash Sale because it's listed on the Featured Item Spotlight page. Not sure if it's a bug since the product isn't on the PC+ spotlight section itself... I've reported this to DAZ already so we'll see if this price will change later.

I just noticed that, I have the bundle in my Wishlist and I probably would have bought tonight it if it hadn't been for this conflict. Too many overlapping sale categories — the DAZ store is fragile as it is, we don't need to have it trying to figure out which sale category trumps another one. Another example of making things too complicated.

Too late, I put something else in my cart instead.

Lots of decent G2F characters in the fast grab right now.

Yep. And I grabbed a couple of Genesis 1 ladies for only $2.99 each.

  • Oso3DOso3D Posts: 15,095

I grabbed some slightly more expensive ($6) G2F skins that covered ground I desperately needed. (Yanmei for V6, which looks great on a guy, and Felicity, so I don't keep having to use Benjamin for EVERY darkskinned character).
