sorry for that G3 to G8 morphs question again

so, I have a custom character morph, that I whould like to transfer over from G3M to G8M. I checked some you tube tutorials using the transfer tool, but I just can't get it to work propperly. There are allways distortions remaining caused by the different base poses. Giving the G8 a base G3 pose doesn't help. I am on DS 4.10 now. Maybe things work different with the latest release.
