Do you have the latest version of the plugin installed ? If so, then you'll allso have to update Studio to the latest version.
I bougth and installed the plugin yesterday and had the same problem. In the menu 'Help -> About installed plugins' i noticed that the plugin failed to load because it was for a newer version of DS (i was running 4.5.1.6). I downloaded and installed the latest version of Studio and Genesis Starter Essentials and now the plugin works fine.

If you haven't bought a license for the control plugin don't install it as it replaces the basic plugin. If you have installed it, uninstall and try again - if that still fails, reinstall DAZ Studio.

The free version of the DCC comes as a part of the main installer for DAZ Studio 4.5 Pro

If you have not bought (paid for) the FULL version of the DCC from the store here, you should NOT download and install the seperate plugin. If that is what you have done, do as Richard has said.

    What JimmyC and Richard said.
I was referring to the full version of the dynamic cloth controller and assumed you were too. Sorry for the confusion.

So, you cannot 'see' the items when you load them into DS4.5 in the viewport? Is that the case?

What version exactly of DAZ Studio are you using, go to Help > About DAZ Studio and it will tell you. It really does not have anything to do with the DCC plugin, and may be a graphics card issue. Please look at Help > About Installed Plugins, and that should tell you if the plugin has loaded correctly, it is under Dynamic Cloth Control - Plugin, and if it has installed correctly it should have a green icon next to it.

Did you enter the Pro serial number from your account, what does it say on the title bar at the top of the screen, mine says 'DAZ Studio 4.5 Pro'

    Sorry, wrong idea.

You may not have put this item in the correct place. It is inside a Content folder in the ZIP file, and you should empty the contents of the ZIP directly into the My DAZ 3D Library or My Library (whichever you use). There is a Data folder, a Runtime folder and a People folder. These need to be merged into the correct foders in My Library or My DAZ 3D Library.

    ahhh that could be it
I have all my content in a folder in my documents, the thing with doing that is with all the folders being named the same it tends to over write them will see if can merge them or can i have them in there own named folders in my library etc ?

delete the dynamic clothing dll in plugins before re installing studio too ,maybe
I had this happen when a wrong build version was not being cleared with a fresh re install
you might have accidently installed the paid version at some point too.

This computer hasnt had any other version of daz on it and I havent installed any plugins on it for the dynamic control
will try and merge all the folders in the main my library folder and see what happens there

Yes, that is what to do.

You don't want a folder called 'Content' inside your My Library folder (or My DAZ 3D Library if you are using DIM) Merge the contents of the Content folder into the main library folder.

I have downloaded and installed the latest version of the DCC-Plugin. Now I get always the question for the serial number at the beginning. I have a serial number for DS3 and DS2 and the one for ds3 has worked so far. But now it doesn't work anymore. Any helpful hints?

I have installed DS4.5 complete new and have no other content installed yet, expect the starter essentials.

Just make sure that the plugin is the correct version for your version of DS4.5. It should end in the same two digits as the DS4.5 version number. The DS3 serial does work as far as I know. The one I have in my Product Library ends in .56

Thanks for the answer. Unfortunetely I have installed the latest Beat, which has a different number at the end as the official versiomn. I don't know, how i can get the DCC-plugin to run in the public beta of DAZ 4.5.

Any version newer than 4.5.0.114 should work, though if it's older it may not be current. But the serial number hasn't changed, so it should require the DS3 serial once only. How is the plugin listed in Help>About Installed Plugins?
