I'm experiencing some dramatic events right now. After years of "challenged" vision, I've had my first cataract surgery. They gave me an artificial lens on the left eye, and set it to Distant Vision. This was a dramatic improvement. On Tuesday November 7, I have cataract surgery on the right eye. I'll get a new lens that handles Near vision. That means I might actually be able to esily read text on my computer. I imagine "Art" will look dramatically better too!
I'm extremely stressed by the whole experience. The surgery itself is a breeze. I've just had too many things come all at once.
I've received notice of my 50th Anniversary High School reunion, which I won't attend. I live in Minnesota now, and the high school is in New Hampshire. Some of my former fellow students have reached out and maintain regular contact on Facebook. That is so refreshing.
I've been working on a Genealogy project for several months. My family history is incredibly exciting. Once my eyes are fixed, I might start doing a series of Genealogy-related video tutorials on YouTube. I was ready to put my DAZ Studio pursuits on hold. But the DAZ Studio 4.10 arrived. I'll likely just crank it up, then put it aside for awhile.

It would be a shame to see you disappear from us entirely, so I hope you keep up the Daz stuff even if it's only to a small degree, but giving it a rest for just a tiny while until after your eye is sorted might not be a bad idea, even if only to help ease those stress levels.. Good luck with the surgery, and try not to let any worries about it get you down - it will be behind you before you know it :)
I can't even remember the last time I sat down to "Make Art." I tried a few weeks ago, but couldn't even read the DAZ Studio screens. I've been heavily involved in my family history over the past 6 months. I put that aside for awhile because I had troubles reading the screens. I finally just stopped using my eyeglasses. They didn't help at all. Now I can at least guess at what I see?!
I don't post a lot in the forums. I don't want to overwhelm people And, in my older age, I try to be sure my contributions are positive or relevant. Unfortunately, I am human. I make some mistakes.
