Stonemason's medic bay and such....render presets?
So what we get this time is a super-detailed open room. I'm thinking of kit-bashing all sorts of other medical props to really make a crowded space.
Also, with, what looks like, a modular set of rooms, experimenting with different shapes. You know.
BUT! This set also has "Render Presets" -- an incredible move as it appears to give you a way to get the look from the promos.
Cameras are usually about perfect placement, but what about the render presets and what happens if I use those with another product?
Also....
I would love for someone to get this and list what's a separate prop and what you can tinker with. There's tons of consoles and cabinets and...and...scattered about.
I never expected an expansion set of this nature. Fits with his other offerings.
My only fantasy was some other kind of new medical bay drone.
Something to assist with operations or go crazy and try to kill Bones and Chapel...after gtetting at least one red-shirt.

I've been including the presets required to recreate the promos for a while now,it's very much what you see is what you get with the Iray promos.
the render presets do have corresponding cameras but you can just as easily use them to light any other scene
attached pic shows all the parts that make up the scene, all the doors open

Thank you sir for arriving and replying.
So you're saying, I can modular-it-up and get access to some fresh parts? Looks that way.
So, some wall panels will keep the machinery so I could, if I wanted repeat panels and get a very funky wall-of-devices?
And or, just take one of the smaller rooms and make a shower- or ejection module...or prison cell, if I add some bars...or....or a closet.....

ANNNNNNDDDDDD did you see Blade Runner 2049?
What did you think?
If you can do the sky bike, can we get something bigger- like the size of the huge transport that crashed on 'beach' near the airport, at the end....
Something like a big-spinner, but Stonemasony-awesome?

And....and...you did sleeping quarters - how about a futuristic apartment?
Oh, can we just load up your 2018 with sci-fi goodness?
Well, now that you mention cameras, aside from placement, you basically gave a us ca,era with DOF turned on. So I could basically, leave it aline and move it about until it focuses on what I want- instead of setting it up and changing the depth to match the object I want in focus, --
Again, I could move your camera around instead.
Is there anything about those cameras that's tweaked besides the focal-area-that remains sharp?
other than the composition and dof the cameras are just like any other, one thing to note is the cameras control the render dimensions,so if you want to set your own render size you need to disable this in the camera properties,
the renders are set to be large and then you scale down once rendering is completed, this reduces most of the noise you get from Iray renders.
