Changing Default Vendor Name

You know how when you go to save an object it will automaticly choose your Vendor name based on your account, or what ever? I know there was a way to change the Default name but I can't remember how I did that because it was such a long time ago. Can someone remind of how?

    Edit > preferences > startup > show home page will do it I think

    You're on the right track, though. What needs changed is the Authorship Information on the General tab.
