There should be a folder of .cbr those are the files that will show up in the browser. It doesn't matter where you put them, you have to point the browser to the folder.

If you put them inside a folder that your browser already knows, they will show up as a subfolder in the browser.

You can load the .hdr files directly into the BACKGROUND interface, but I don't think they will show as anything in the browser.

HDRIs wont show in carrara's browser at all. So it really doesn't matter where you put them.

    HI scottidog2

To answer the first point ,.. where do these files go,..

Every product released by daz, is tested to make sure the files are in the correct place to work as intended,
So,. simply put,.. you install all carrara products, directly into the main Carrara program folder,. (that's there they've been built to go )

Once you've installed the product,. you should open carrara,. but also read the "Readme" file tfor that product, which should have some instructions.

To see your new product in the browser,. you may need to "Add" the new folders to the browser, since carrara doesn't do that automatically.
(See the "Read me" file ,.. for info)

Normally a basic HDRI files will not show up in the browser,. (it's a 32 bit image file) . but if you save the Background (with the hdri) into the browser, then it's saved as a CBR, file,.. which can have a Thumbnail image

    Hope it helps :)
