DIM suddenly showing 2,177 items to download...??

Hi all, my DIM is suddenly saying I need to download over 2,000 items - most of them are old ones! Anyone have any idea why? Have they (hopefully!) been updated to smart content?? (*holding breath*)

  • I'm not seeing a raft of new downloads - make sure you haven't accidentally moved or renamed the Downloads or Manifests folders from DIM's folder in Public Documents (or wherever you keep them).

When I first got started with DS, I used DIM to download and install content as I purchased it, clicking the green button on the Order page. What I didn't realize was clicking on that button opened DIM with a filter for that order. When the day finally came that I opened DIM without that filter, I was shocked at the number of items for download. I had no idea products got updated and those updates would show up in DIM. I'm guessing around six months of updates.

When I saw your post, that was the first thing I thought of, though over 2K files does seem a bit much to be just updates. Definitely check your settings and verify the download folder DIM is using is where you have your files stored, as Richard said.

I don't think I had touched anything but will check, thanks Richard!

Hi, definitely not the first suggestion, lol! But will check the downloads folder in DIM - thanks both!

  • Oh my goodness! I think it's all the files I have KNOWN had dropped off my DAZ orders, but I had lost the proof, it was so long ago... I may be wrong but am seeing a lot of those files...
