Bloom filter CPU usage

Hi! I've noticed during my renders that if I use the bloom filter while rendering an image, the CPU shoots to almost 100% usage constantly while the render is running and being rendered on my 1080 ti only.
My CPU is a i7 4790, so it should't have difficulty doing the bloom filter without needing full CPU usage all the time. I usually set DAZ's affinity to less cores just so it doesn't heat up the CPU that much.
Is there a reason for that kind of usage? Is it normal? Or maybe it's a bug?

All scenes tested saw 75% average CPU usage, with and without bloom enabled. I tested with mesh lights only, mesh lights and HDRI and Sun/Sky only.
What's your CPU? And what was the resolution of your scene?
