will a V4 dress work on G3F?

Just curious if anyone knows before I make the purchase

It may or may not auto fit.  There are several utilities that will help as well.  s Wear Them All being the one I use the most often as well as the various items by Sickelyield.

Work? Technically. Look good? That depends on the dress and if you have the proper clones/product. If you have Wear Them All for Genesis 3 Female you should be able to wear V4 clothing on G3F. The dress should look decent, you might need to use a smoothing modifier.

If you don't have Wear Them All for G3F, you can probably still get it to work by putting the dress on Genesis 1 then saving it as a Wearable Preset. Then load that to G2F and save it as a Wearable Preset again. You should then be able to wear it on G3F without a clones product like Wear Them All. :)

If you'll link the dress, either I (if I have it) or someone else here who might have the dress, might be able to test it for you to see - before you spend the money.

In the end though, keep in mind that Daz has a 30 day return policy. So if you don't like the look of the dress on G3F you can always return it without a problem. :)

Wear Them All is by valzheimer, but yes, Sickleyield also has nice products for cross generation clothing refits. :)

That's what I get for not looking before I post...

  • It may also be worth trying an animated drape with dForce in the DS Public Beta (that is, don't fit the dress - just line it up with the zeroed Genesis 3 Female in frame 0 on the Timeline, mover the Timeline to frame 30 and apply the final pose, set the Frames to Siulate to Animated in Simulation Settings and click Simulate).
