NaNoWriMo prep with daz Studio???? 2017!

Anyone planning on doing NaNoWriMo this year?  Anyone started doing prep for it?  With the help of Daz Studio or Daz figures?  I am trying to prepare myself for writing come November 1rst.  I am thinking of doing some preliminary sketches of the characters then converting them to 3D renders.

I have also started a notebook journal to write down notes and ideas.

What is everyone else doing for prep and prewriting?  Anyone getting DS started to create their characters' looks?

Yep.  I'm working on something.  It actually started as a world building exercise back in July, and then I got a plot idea and well, here I am.  Despite that I know that week one will be trashed (tech week) and I get so very, very discouraged when I'm 10K behind and all anyone can say is "don't give up!  you can do it!"  Which while valid, good advice, comes across as kinda hollow from people with wordcounts already double normal...

(Basically, I've learned that if I don't get a good start, I won't succeed at NaNo and find it really, really easy to not keep up writing on a daily basis)

Anyway, this is my POV character, Biala.

Doesn't it defeat the purpose behind it to start early?

National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) is a fun, seat-of-your-pants approach to creative writing.

On November 1, participants begin working towards the goal of writing a 50,000-word novel by 11:59 PM on November 30.

Valuing enthusiasm, determination, and a deadline, NaNoWriMo is for anyone who has ever thought about writing a novel.

No, the point is to crank out a huge number of words at once, not to avoid plotting in advance.

I hope to have time to join in. XD It's been so long since I've done any writing of my own. Creating characters and setting up scenes in Daz does help jump-start ideas.

Prep work (figuring out general plotline, characters, worldbuilding) has always been permitted before November 1.  It's just the writing of the actual story that is to take place between November 1st and Novembe 30th

I look through my Daz items to see what I can turn into a nice cover, and that will give me the basic story idea. :D
