What is the "Lost & Found" Tab?

I noticed awhile ago, don't know how long it's been ther in fact, that at the top of my Smart Content panel, there's a Lost and Found tab. If I filter by context, there are only 4 items, but they are all in the ...\Studio\My Daz Connect Library\data\cloud\...\starter essentials\ folder. I can open them, ( 3 sets & 1 actor is how they're listed), but is there way to "refind" them, or somehow migrate them to My Content?

They are products that have incomplete metadata: here is how to assign the proper meta data and get out of "lost and found" jail: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r-sdHEBNCB4
Nemesis gives the complete answer. Unfortunately I find it way too time consuming. Plus there's always the fear that I may lose HD or something that deletes all the time spent on such customization.
My recommendation is just to ignore it or...
right click on the item(s) and Categorize.
The latter will automatically move it from lost and found to the category of your choosing. They'll now show up under appropriate category when filter by context is unchecked. Nemesis' method will get you the 'filter by context' if that's what you really want, but even with this, it's not ideal. Products like 'wear them all' make wardrobe of older models easily usable on newer figures, thus making context, even when configured appropriately, undesirable.
I noticed when im cleaning up my "Lost and found" i need to make sure all check boxes are unselected or clear them out first and then select the correct check box to catergorize the content, if not it stays lost and found and in a category. Still a pain when you have multiple catergorys to filter through.
Wow, this is an amazing tutorial! It has a few steps, but once you do it a few times, it's repetitive and won't take that long. Thanks for the link.
Thanks for that vid link nemesis10
Finally catching up on backlog of mesages.
I understand the poeople who have trouble with smart content but, once you understand that you have control over the metadata, it is easy to to fall in love with the sort of things that computers are good at and people are bad at.
its not that they have trouble, its that some cannot cope without it
my lost and found would be overflowing .... if I looked
I find the smart content tab very useful finding things that will click and load on whatever genesis flavour I am using
but
you want to autofit someething from another generation one has to learn to walk away from that tab to the content library and load it there as it will never come up with your current figure selected
some poor souls are lost as all their content disappears depending on what is selected
There's a nifty little check box on the bottom left of the smart content window called "filter by context". If you uncheck that, it shows everything with smart content in the currently selected category. So bada bing, bada boom, you now have everything in smart content showing up to be used. If it doesn't have metadata they you still have to go to the library to find it, but it's nice for anything that does have metadata. ***edited to fix my moronic phone's unwanted attempt at spellchecking me****
