Cross Character clothing/ hair fitting.

I hope i have posted to the right forum. I have been working with daz studio for a little while now and I love it. I adore genesis 3 and once I can afford the morphs I will be converting my characters to the Genesis 8 model. As most users on Daz studio I have branched out to other retailers for additional content. I have found some of the cutest things designed for Baby Luna on Hivewire. I have searched high and low but not been able to find if I could make these clothes fit my Genesis charaters. Can some one point me in the direction of a tutorial or a firm no answer?

baby luna is a Huivewire original figure. Since it isn't made dy DAZ and not part of the genesis line, most clothing will not autofit to it. Apparently it has clones to aloow for clothing made for Dawn or Dusk to autofikt it, but none of those are sold at DAZ. Now there are a couple of dynamic plugin options at Renderosity that turn conforming clothing into dynamic and those might work, but you would have to understand how dynamics work to get the best results.

Baby Luna is a different base character, so your options are limited. She's probably not in 3'rd party converters like Crossdresser or Wardrobe wizard. So the easiest would be to use dForce (currently only in Daz Beta) to fit and/or transfer utility. The latter takes practice but makes the outfit conforming so you don't have to simulate a fit every time you change pose.

As for hair...much easier. Just move it to the scalp and use x, y, z scale as appropriate. Then parent to head and it'll stick as the character changes poses.

As well as VWD and its bridge there is now dForce in the publuic beta of Daz studio.

  • Thank you for the help I really apprciate it.
