Credit Card declined

I tried to make a purchase this morning and it said my transaction was declined. An error occurred. Contact Service provider. I called the credit card company to see why it was declined because there wasn't any reason that I knew of. They said that they were having a problem with their payment processing and that was the only reason my card was declined. They said they were working on the issue.

So my question is...once the problem is corrected...will I be able to make my purchase. Or does this order have an error on it now, and it will take a manual intervention for it to be fixed?

I've tried several times now over the last two hours and I still get the error, so that's why I am wondering.

If I don't see success later today, I guess I'll call the credit card company again.

Do you see that order in your order history? It might not have been created at all....

    Thanks for you reply.

Just tried it again and it worked. Not sure if it was just fixed when I tried it or maybe what I did reset it. Before I tried to purchase, I removed everything from my case and then added it all back. After I did that, the next time it went through. I always pay off my cards every month, so I couldn't understand why it wasn't being accepted.

I've had this happen occassionally with my Platinum membership. It will say it failed and then the next day it will go through.

Gratefully, it doesn't happen too offten.

I think that banks are being more cautious with online transaction approvals. I had a friend's purchase declined (not a 3d type purchase) for the simple reason that she'd never shopped there before. Also, DAZ sometimes comes up on their radar as a questionable vendor; simply because of some of the images and articles for sale. It's done by bot, so it's no judgement call on DAZ.

Yeah, it's getting to be a big pain shopping online nowadays. My bank is VERY tight on online credit card purchases. If I do two transactions online within a short period the second one is automatically declined. Then, when they get around to it, they send me a text and ask if I approve the transactions. But by that time the transaction is already closed, so I have to start again, never sure if I should re-do the old one.

Banks routinely have intermittant issue with payment gateways. Much of it is Internet-based these days, and if you're on the Internet enough, you know there are connection issues from time to time. Even if they use land lines for communication, servers are busy, go down for a reboot, etc.

No bank should "hold" your details and process it later. If yours does that, you need a new bank. Your data should go through the payment processor and get authorized or declined, where that transaction is encrypted and stores safetly. At no time should anyone hold your details in some queue, which could present an opportunity for hackers to retrieve it.
