hi i have a ? if someone can help me with glitter

is there anyway   that i can put glitter on the clothing of daz studio and have it render. glittery 

i dont mean the whole shirt just on the chest or around the shoulders   like a blouse. if someone can help me 

it would be greatly appreciated thanks so much.

  • If you are using iray, and have applied the Iray Uber base shader (or if it was already applied) look at the Metallic Flakes settings for the surfaces.

  • Metallic flakes for iray is best, flake size of 0.1 and above with a density of 0.2-0.1 is a good starting point.

    You can use a black and white mask in the metalic flakes strength channel to limit it to the areas you want (white is on, black is off)

    If you go to your account, product library, type in the name of the product, on the bottom you should have a download for the templates.  Download that and open the top's template in a 2D editing program (even MS paint would work if you don't want a fancy gradient.)  You shoud be able to basically tell what's what with a shirt, if in doubt you can draw rainbow dots all over it in different places and load that into the base color channel so you can see where things are.  Once you know where the shoulders are paint that area white and the rest black.  Once you have the black and white jpg saved you load it into the metalic flake strength channel in the surface tab (click the little triangle in the square to the left of the channel name, then browse)
