Kinda, not much in that bundle I want but the opportunity to get three other bundles is s great deal
her foot kinda looks strange in that 13th popup promo of the base figure.....where she's wearing the purple bikini/lingerie and looking over her shoulder at us...like half of it is twisted.....
Steph 6 pro bundle is the only one i don't have....
Still has an extremely masculine face. Diversity is fine and all, but Victoria 8 and Olympia 8 are already masculine women.
I was just saying to a friend, that I think I'm in the minority here, liking the more mature, more "mannish" look of V8's face. I don't have her yet, but every time I look at her face, I really like it. I have Olympia 8, and while I like her shape (and I actually don't find her very masculine looking), I absolutely LOATHE her skin. I keep thinking I wish I could swap Olympia for Victoria LOL I'm reserving judgement on Stephanie 8 till I see more customers renders, as I feel they are more of a selling point for me than the store promos. I think her skin looks orange like O8's in most of the promos....and I can't work out why her foot looks so bizarre in that one promo......but I'm kinda liking her face.
Just a heads up for owners of previous Stephanies.....there's no orange banner, but it looks like there is an 'exclusive message" in the account area.

Sigh. As usual, it expires right before I can take advantage. I'm not investing in Gen 8 not because I don't want to, but because timing of release sale to funding has not worked to my favor more or less since the arrival of Victoria 8...
Ah well. I can still finish getting all the stuff I want for previous generations. :)
I like the base figure well enough, but the pro bundle is really disappointing. The one hair prop is gawd-awful and most of the clothing (save one outfit) is just "meh". Will probably end up just getting the base, the lone outfit I actually liked and the one hair I liked. FWIW, I don't see anything at all masculine about her face (or any of the other G8 women for that matter), so I don't understand where the sentiment is coming from.

Not working for me financially either. Wrong week always. Mind you, I had JUST checked out 4 minutes before with my LAST $8 store credit and Steph arrived. :headdesk:
So, all of the models are just going to be offshoots of V8...or every other Thorne Sarsa character. Swell.

...actually the eighth promo pic almost reminds me of Steph4.
The Xanthe character looks the best, no pouty lips and a more contemporary if not slightly youthful look. Adding a bit of Zev0's Growing Up to her could make a better looking teen than Josie 8. Too bad she wasn't the character included in the Starter Bundle.
So 46$ would get the following:
Body Morphs for G8F.
Head Morphs for G8F.
Growing Up for G8F.
Steph 8.
Xanthe for S8.
Already have the base S5 and S6 figures.
Temptinmg, but still trying to save for that memory upgrade.
It is possible for me to buy the pro bundle but I think that people who bought all the previous bundles when they were released should get a bit more than the small 20% off extra reduction. Just my opinion of course.
Well Stephanie 8 is nice though...
I agree Xanthe is a nice looking character, and looks fairly different from Base S8, so that is always a bonus. Overall I like the base and the two included characters, and the hair is ok, but I am less impressed with the included outfits. Only the Crocket Dress looks like something that anyone would actually wear, the others are the usual bizzare looking pseudo-fantasy/sci-fi clothing which natually come with those thigh high boots that DAZ seems so obsessed with. The White Fox outfit looks completely untextured to me.
I don't understand this masculine look some people are seeing, as S8 looks 100% female to me. I do find it strange that whenever a new DAZ female comes along many people are saying she looks like a man, and when a new male arrives, there are those that say it looks like a woman. Clearly my understanding of anatomy is different from some people.
Anyway S8 pro is appearing as $37 in my cart along with one other item, and since I only have the S6 and S5 starter packs at least this time I do not already own all the older stuff bundled in for free. So I am left thinking about it, but my store credit is running a bit low, and what is left I had been hoping to use in the PC+ sale, so a gift card sale in the next day or two would be nice, and might push me over the edge in deciding to get S8.

I can see in some of the promo renders a strong jaw line which possibly is having the effect of making the face look slightly masculine, but as they say, this could be a trick of the light.
However, what I am still seeing is uniform spray on tan colouring, with no texture colour detail variation. Stephanie 8 and her other character textures all look like tailor shop dummies. I cannot, in my opinion, see one promo image that makes me think this could possibly be a real person. So for me, purchasing yet another re-run of previous characters seems doubtful.
Could the bland skin textures be due to old genesis 3 merchant resources being used for the new G8 characters? (just a thought)

Xanthe is definitely nice, although those promo pics. _facepalm_ The dreaded cracked V in the dresses is SO solveable, but... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Anyway, I'm...not a fan, for once. But at the same time, I'm _all_ about the 5'6" character, because OMG the standard ladies are tall.
The Pro bundle, with a new item, comes to a REALLY reasonable amount, and so...it's difficult.
I don't have as much trouble with her face as some; she's CLEARLY channelling Lady Gaga. I mean, right? That's what they're going for with all of the 'pop princess' and hyper-done makeup, and even being a petite character (although Ms. Gaga is 5'1", not 5'6", but in DAZ world terms, 5'6" is their version of 5'1")...

This one is a difficult decision for me. The skin textures in the promo images seem very flat and spray tan-ish as others have commented. Perhaps better lighting could ameliorate that to some degree but if the detail is not there for the lighting to bring out, then it’s just not there.
on the other hand, the smaller size and more petite shape would be great for the “character library gene pool”.
Would of thought about it, but interestingly there was never a Stephanie 7, and well I have Steph 4, 5 and 6.. Eitherway Steph 8 looks ok not a must have but what I am finding interesting is the speed of new releases, as it was only a couple weeks or so ago that we had Teen Josie 8.. It could be that it gets too much for some..

WOW, she is so unappealing! I already pass Olympia 8 & Josie 8, but now have to debate about about whether or not to get Stephanie 8. And no, I don't see Gaga in her at all, Arabella 7 was a much better referance of her, loved her face in that one. Stephanie 8 has a nice bodyshape, still need to be convinced ... hope to see more renders of her.
Does anybody else think that Olympia 8 and now Stephanie 8 look kinda unfinished? I quite liked Victoria 8, but then O8 looked as if they just changed V8s body, tinkered slightly with the face and said "good enough". Olympia 7 has a very distinct face, O8 (to me, at least) has not - and now Stephanie seems like the same thing: smaller body, but nearly the same kind of face. I sincerely hope it will be different for Gia 8 and Eva 8 - G7 is my favourite character by far.
Stephanie's head is oversized in in a very obvious manner it also lacks detail like it is unfinished
The sharp big chin and overly groomed brows sharp plucked brows are a strange choice for a youthful figure.
Here are my first two Steph8 renders, allthough I had to set her transparency setting to low because... I have a feeilng there will be an update in a couple of days to fix the issue (I'll render up a quick one at each setting in a bit to show the issue) The issue was only happening in the Iray preview mode becasue it was set to interactive.
Ha! i had that with Olympia 8 - Olympia 7 is my favourite figure hands down ever. I adore her. So I got Olympia 8 and wanted to cry. Her shape is fine, but good gravy, her skin is dreadful.
Does anyone who has Steph 5 and Steph 6 and Steph 8 feel like doing a comparison render, particularly for the faces and skins? I've just been playing with Steph 6 and I can't for the life of me figure out why I ignored her for so long, she's fantastic. So I'm curious how they all look next to each other.
(Or maybe a Victoria 8, Olympia 8 and Steph 8 comparison as a few peeps are saying they all look the same and I'm curious)

I thinks she's a doll, got her right away. Can't wait to get home and render her.
