How to smash things?

Is there a SIMPLE way to make props look like they are broken? Suppose I want a car to look like it was in an accident, is there a SIMPLE way to make the front of it or the side of it to look like it was smashed in?

If by simple you mean using a modeler, modifying textures, using a collision modifier with an invisible object, using the shape reprojector and/or a creative use of d-formers, sure. Otherwise, the only simple way (that is, accessible to the casual user) is to buy a product that includes morphs to simulate said accident, such as the car in this product: https://www.daz3d.com/live-architectures-bundle

It isn't the most high poly around, but they are very well done. It's a pity you can't buy just the car, but with luck it will be on sale on the last catch-up.
