DAZ - what kind of materials

So today I look at a couple of the new products in the store, and the prouct pages just say there are 'DAZ materials' with those products - not 'Iray materials', or 'Iray and 3Delight materials', just 'DAZ materials', like pages used to say before Iray when there was ony one kind of DS materials.

Will you PLEASE make all product pages in the store state what KIND of DAZ materials, the way at least most did until recently.

Or if the policy is now that from now on only Iray is supported, so all products from now on will only have Iray materials, no new proucts will have 3Delight materials, so all materials will be Iray so you aren't bothering to put 'Iray' on the product pages, please announce it in one of the emails you send every day, and I can stop wasting time coming here looking for new products that include 3DL materials.

I've had a look through all of todays new releases and all of them have noted either Iray or Iray and 3delight materials. Might be it was updated since you looked.

From what I bought, the "DAZ materials" are 3DL materials only. Delicious Dinner Props and Medival Training Props are, at least, though the Training Props are a pre-Iray release that only switched to PC+.

I've seen it too, I don't remember which product it was but definitely a new product and not one of the "converted to PC+" ones. They probably have corrected the page.

  • From pre Iray days,  most older products would support Poser Material and/or Daz (3DL) Materials. With newer products,  those launched after Iray was introduced as an option to render in DazStudio,  Iray or PBR Materials would be noted specifically,  and 3DL would be noted.
