Delete Bone from scene

REMOVE BONE from scene.

I have found numerous request for this information but not one actually helps.  Often say to click on things that don't exist such as "delete bone" which after activating Joint Tool and selecting the bone, is no where to be found. ( DS 4.9 )

PLEASE don't ramble on about how deleting a bone won't help me save render time yada yada...I want to do this to EXTRACT a piece of a scene for stand alone work so need to REMOVE all bones except the one I want to retain as a prop.

That said even if someone can show me a way to convert a single bone to a prop without the other pieces that would also work.

DS documentation, as usual, is no help.

Are you wanting to remove a bone from the rigging or remove a chunk of geometry from the model? Delete>Delete Bone in the Joint Editor option menu should do the former, but I'm not sure what you think that will achieve.
