I don't have Skin Builder 3 but these look like they'd be really helpful. Thank you for sharing. :) Can one use Skin Builder 3 on Genesis 8 figures?

Yes and no.  It has to be set up on genesis 3 female but after it gets saved it can be used on genesis 8 female for personal use only.

Oh, that's a bit disapointing. I'll have to wait and see if they release a version for G8 then. Thanks, MBW. :)

Zev0 talked about making SB3 work with G8F, but only for personal use. As we haven't seen an update, I suspect it was more than a quick fix. The separate eyelashes are bound to be an issue, without recoding for the program to work with a parented item.

Anyway, you should check out the thread for the MR limitations:

Quick question can this be used on G3F in a commercial product with also G8F morphs too?

Yes. But G8F on its own, no. G3F must be included.

Oh, Happy Dance! I just checked the thread, looking for a link for you, and this was the last post on the thread:

There will be an official G8F version. You can use the current version on G8F for personal use.

  • Those are incredibly useful, tkz. Thanks so much for sharing!

When you say match V7 could you elaberate a bit more as to what it is you want to match, V7 has a totally different base skin and therefore nothing will quite match it.

  • This is cool!  Thanks for sharing.  :)  I really need to play with SB3 some more.  Those are nice looking skin shades.

As in if you were going to use SB3 to build something as close as possible to V7 - how would you get there. This may be capturing a missing understanding of how everything comes together to make the skin color/tone exactly what you want.

Since posting this, I've been playing around with the tint, translucency, and am starting to fill in the blanks, but still have a long way to go....

The end goal is being able to use the figures that look like rubber in scenes with figures who look real... without them looking very related...

Here is Pavel with Stock Skin, Stock Skin improved a little with SB3, and then with Lee skin but modded tint and translucence...
