Lucas 8 - The Next Daz G8 Male Release?

Lucas 8 is listed as a supported shape for X-Fashion Arachnid Outfit.

Wonder when he will be released? Has anyone seen any images of him?

I don't recall a Lucas 7 or earlier, though I could be wrong. Curious to see if they will be shaking up the whole male product line this generation or just adding one or two new figures.

    Lucas...hmm...hope he fits more along the lines of Stephanie. Young, but not a replacement for Elijah, who I really like and would like to see a new version of. And no...don't think there's ever been a Lucas before. We had Lucian, but no Lucas :)

    We had Luke in Generation 3. Maybe this is an updated version? Could be the new David too.

    There is only one base shape, Genesis 8. All characters start as that base and are modified to create Michael or any other character. Just explaining for accuracy sake. :)

    Well for Genesis 3 and 8 one could argue there are two base shapes, namely male and female. Obviously there was only one for Genesis, and for Genesis 2 male and female used the same mesh, but the rigging on the two was not the same.

    might be a Twilight style vamp though Lukian-Lukas_Lupas-werewolf? or Lucas as in George Lucas/ Luke Skywalker/Star Wars  as in Scifi type charcater ok I'm stretching it there 

    if Halloween horror themed need someone like a freak 8 with some ivan be good for kinds of characters like Franky, gangster, certain green guy instead of the usual vamps and zombies unless those are unique different to what is already around

    I would say there is actually only one base shape and that is Genesis 3/8 female. The male figures are made from the female mesh

    Indeed; it's entirely possible to create a nominally human shaped figure mesh in a few hours. The most rigorous work, such as detailed sculpting, rigging and weight mapping takes far longer to complete.

    Lucas, huh?  Will be nice to have a new G8 guy.  I hope the Pro Bundle will have some exciting stuff in it.

    This time of year they'll be clanging the Halloween gong, but sometmes the pieces are useful.

    Yeah, the downside to having a new generation figures is another massive glut of demonic/Halloween/spoopy crap every October during the PC+ Anniversary sales, lmao. I'm hoping with Blade Runner 2049 out next month, they'll throw us sci-fi lovers a bone and have a little more sci-fi items this year, but I digress.

    Anyhow, part of me is kind of hoping that this purported Lucas 8 is a teen accompanyingment to Josie 8. We're long overdue for a new teen male character, anyways. Besides, hopefully Daz will continue the paired female and male character releases like they did with Genesis 3.

    If Lucas does arrive in October then he is likely to be a companion to a female release around the same time. Given we have just had Josie out, the next female is highly likely to be an adult (maybe Stephanie 8). A companion of Stephanie might be a younger male (early 20s perhaps), but is unlikely to be a teen.

    Goodness, I didn't think I needed to spell out there is a male and female since we've gone to the separate male and female for some time, heh.  I forget how literally things can be taken. :)
