Studio crash during spot render,

I'm getting problems recently with Studio crashing when I do spot renders, but FULL renders run fine (This is in Iray).

I have submitted a bug report and was told it is a known problem, and I will be contacted again. However, I don't know what the bug is, which means I have no clue how to avoid the problem until a fix is announced.

Any one know what the cause is?

PC: i7-7700 (8 core) 32 Meg RAM, GTX1080. Windows 10 (64 bit). Studio version 4.9 (Latest).
