GPU for Daz [solved]

The forum search function doesn't seem any better than last time I tried it so....

Does the gpu I choose for iray have to be nvidea brand or can it be an alternative brand as long as it uses the same architecture?

    Yes, only Nvidia graphic card for Iray gpu rendering.

    The best P/P card now, IMO, is GTX 1080 Ti with 11GB Vram.

     Thanks for the response nohiznguyen. So just to clarify it has to be an Nvidea 1080ti, it can't be an Asus 1080ti?

    Well, Asus, Gigabyte, EVGA ... make custom build for Nvidia graphic card. Nvidia does have the Founder Edition though.

    And you can buy any "brand" you want. Asus, Gigabyte, EVGA ... or Nvidia 1080 Ti Founder Edition are all good for Iray.

    The brand you should be looking for is Geforce, not Nvidia. Most Geforce cards are not produced by Nvidia, only licensed from them, but they all have the same feature set, including Iray. As long as the card is a Geforce card, you'll be fine.
