RDNA transfers and DAZ making their own readme system fail

Headscratcher time. Last weekend, I came across a new (to me) store of ex-RDNA items, some of which were freebies. I got them, downloaded them, and just remembered to install them tonight. All very nice, but when I tried to look them up in the readme archive, they aren't there any more (if they ever were). I looked them up in my Product Library, and there were no store links, they seem to have been pulled. For all I know, the entire store's been pulled, since the readme archive and Product Library links are the only way of knowing the DAZ name of the PA.

There has to be some way of preserving information when something's been taken out of the store; the online-only setup just isn't up to scratch. I never like to use it — e.g. when I tried earlier tonight I got nothing for a few minutes, then finally (I think) a 503 error. A third try worked, then I had to wait out the usual lag as I clicked through the links to where the readmes ought to have been. I think it's about time for DAZ to at least copy the readmes back to the downloaded installers, leaving the online archive intact. I don't use DIM (and I know many others here don't either), so I don't know if its built in readme function has the same flaws as the online version. It's just getting too annoying to slog through... when it works.

RFC?

FWIW, the four items are Crying Fields (a spooky gallows), Musica Fantasia (pan pipes and violin), Systeme Solaire (planet props), and The Magiic of Zen (decorative candle, stones and stuff). All very nice, but I'd like to know if the rest of that PA's items are still in the store; I might want to buy some if I could have another look.

Not sure what's up...but none of the other items (there were more than those 4) show store links, either.

I should know who made them, as I've had the RDNA freebie versions for a long time.

They were from Anima Gemini and evidently were added by mistake. She still has a DAZ Store but those items are not in her store. Maybe she didn't want them here.

I'm not entirely sure about that...because I thought there was more than one vendor listed...like RDNA and/or DAZ so they could be not in her store, but still here intentionally.

Yes, they were all also had RDNA in the artist / vendor field. But IIRC all the items brought over when DAZ bought out RDNA were listed as "RDNA" just to distinguish them even though the artist may have still owned them. For example the Musica Fantasia is also over on that H site of busy bees

You can name the place...just not link to it.

Who knows...with all the bouncing around some content creators are doing lately, it's hard to say what belongs where any longer.

Thanks for the name, I'll have a look later.

<headdesk> I just realised I joined in on that thread... maybe I shouldn't browse the forums half-asleep.
