Having a problem with this character. ANY makeup I apply including eye makeup makes her face pink and some of the lipsticks have missing files. Anyone else have this problem? It was installed through Connect.
Also, when I looked under surfaces,I couldn't find anything remotely pink. The transmission color is a sunflower yellow color. This is what it looks like viewing with NVIDIA. Apparently there are files missing. Anyone else have this problem?

Could we see a screen shot of the surfaces tab with her face selected? Maybe we can help identify the issue that way. :)
If you're getting that error message, then yeah, looks like either it didn't install correctly or has a missing file. I'd put in a support ticket. :)
I got the missing file notification from some of the lipstick files. The face and eye makeups went on without notifications of missing files but turned the face pink when rendered. It's LIE supposedly. I'm on a laptop so the screenshots are limited in height so had to take a bunch... I sent in a ticket but I'm surprised because this item has been around for a while, so maybe it doesnt play well with the new DS update?
It almost looks like it's trying to read a Diffuse Overlay image. Try sliding the Diffuse Strength to zero and see if that fixes it?
Nope. When I play with the dials, it just changes the shade of pink, but can't get rid of it or figure out where it's coming from.
I thought maybe the pink was an extra layer too and put the cut-out opacity to 0 and THIS happenned LOL!
ROFL! What even!? haha
Well that's really weird. It does look like a hidden diffuse layer to me. I would try adding the "Create Advanced Iray Node Properties" script (under Utilities) and see if it reviels a hidden layer. I had an issue with the Diffues Overlay layers and it made my characters faces turn white (not pink, but it could be related to the same issue). I'd try using that script first then check out the diffuse layers to see if there is anything wierd there.
I can't find that. Under utilities in smart content I just have various products I installed. On the top under scripts there are just three scripts I added myself. I'm not sure what you're talking about... I couldn't find it under create either... I've never seen that...
It showed up when I downloaded Genesis 8 and all the "essential" goodies that came with. With G3F selected it should be under the Smart Content tab >> Utilities:
I found it but it does nothing. All those scripts seem messed up and Vicenzina's hands are all screwed up! I used one of Ignis Serpentis' Hex Arcanum poses on her and look what happened to the hands! I really like her looks, but may have to return her, I've never seen a character so screwed up!
Every pose I try distorts her hands and some make her eyes pop out! How is this even on the market!
did you ever think that if this was an actual bug it would be happening to many more people and not be on the market? I don't have it to test, but I hope you get it figured out.
I've never had this happen with any other character. I sent in a ticket. Maybe it has something to do with the upgraded DS pro. I hope this doesn't happen with all G3 characters now!
That really sounds so strange. I've never seen a character do that unless the rigging wasn't right. Have you tried just closing the program and reopening it and trying to load a fresh character? Maybe reboot your computer as well.
Have you tried any other G3F characters since having the issue with Vincenzina? I don't have the character - otherwise, I'd test it for you to see if there is an issue with the character. The character has been out for nearly two years though, so if there was an issue with the character itself, surely someone would have said something by now.
The layer might be inside the Layered Image Editor. I'm thinking the color is supposed to be driven by a mask that's not being found. Maybe like for the eyeshadow color or blush? Go to the Face surface and look at the image under base color and open the LIE.

I purchased Vincezina right after she was released and haven't had any issues with renders I've done of her. I did install her originally through DIM. I will test her in the most recent version of DS and see if I can replicate the issues.
Trish
Before returning her, I'd try uninstalling through DIM and then reinstalling through DIM. Perhaps it's something as mundane as a file or two getting corrupted during download.
@Wonderland
Have tried reloading the character files? I've attached a viewport screenshot and a quick render. All makeup opyions applied. No issues, no morph distortions.
I'm also not having any G3 issues. I have to conclude it's your setup. Studio 4.9.4.122
No problems here other than with the "Clear" lipstick I get the same missing file message as you.
Yes, it was the clear lipstick that gave me that message, I'm normally a Mac person so will try the character there on my main computer tomorrow. I have a Windows laptop too where all the problems were happening and I'm trying to optimize and defrag it to see if that helps. But why would the hands get all wonky? I saw the same thing on some characters that people were trying to transfer to G8 but this is straight out of the box G3. And weird with the eyes bugging out with some poses (All G3) I have never used LIE, so not sure where the settings for that is. But I was hoping that just double clicking in smart content would work, that I didn't need to correct anything...
Anyway, I originally installed it through Connect and will try DIM now.
PAs usually put layered images above the face map under Base Color. If you click on the little black triangle there..
..you'll get a pop-up window. Scroll to the top of the pop-up window and click on where it says "Layered Image Editor...". That's usually where the PAs that use the Layered Image Editor add the makeup.
Thanks Diva, I will check that out in the future. After I uninstalled the Connect version and reinstalled it with DIM (which for some reason didn't go through in the first place,) it seems to be working except, I'm assuming, the missing file for clear lipstick. I had saved a scene with a posed, personally morphed version of her and it could take the new materials except the hands are still wonky so I'll have to fix that in post.
The hands are still messed up? Even after the reinstall? Or is it just messed up in the saved scene? If it's just the scene you should be able to "Adjust Rigging to Shape" to fix the hands. It's worth a shot. :)
