Hi Guys!

I'm completely new to this so sorry for sounding dumb.
I just finished my first tutorial about basic posing and setting up a scene/rendering, so I managed to get that out of the way. Next, I installed Victoria 4.2 (or at least i'm pretty sure i did) and tried looking for a Victoria figure in the content but didn't see any people. Then, I helplessly double clicked and dragged faces labeled INJ onto the default genesis figure and nothing happened.

I'm pretty sure i'm doing a bunch of stuff completely wrong. Instead of stumbling around I figured I'd ask you guys what I should actually be doing.

additionally:
I installed a file called Victoria4.exe into the daz3d my libray directory, and I have these but didnt touch them yet:
V4Morphs.exe
V4MorphsDS.exe
Victoria4PosesDS.exe
PC_DS_Victoria_4_2_Update.exe

I bought some of this stuff
http://www.beammeup.net/blog/3d-celebrities/poser-celebrities-1.php
and my ultimate goal is to get one of these to work.

Thanks for your time!

Don't worry about sounding dumb - we've all had to start from scratch. Welcome to the wonderful world of DAZ! :)

The Victoria 4.2 figure should be under the Poser Content folder structure in Figures/DAZ People It is not in the DAZ Content folder structure. Injections and morphs for Vic 4.2 don't translate to Genesis - you have to acquire separate morphs and injections, some are free and some are pay.

    Hope this helps. :)

I don't know if you have Poser or DAZ Studio.

If it is DAZ Studio did you install Victoria 4 into the runtime at C:\Users\[user]\Documents\DAZ 3D\Studio\My Library ? (Assuming you installed DAZ Studio 4.5)

I just installed Victoria 4 into a new computer running DAZ Studio and the installer didn't know where the DAZ Studio runtime was located at, so I had to provide it.

All the above is assuming you have Windows 7 or Windows 8 installed. You should provide these details so those who might wish to help have a better picture of what you have.

    Thanks jerriecan & nDelphi,

I forgot to mention, I'm running DAZ Studio version 4.0.3.9 Pro Edition 32 bit. with Victoria 4.2, and I just installed Victoria 5 :)
I also have Poser Pro 2012 just in case, but I'm mainly interested in getting stuff to work in DAZ.

So I followed your instructions and managed to get the VIctoria 4.2 figure onto the scene,

would you guys know how I install/use this or if its even compatible? http://www.sharecg.com/v/52724/
    if not, this? http://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/index.php?ViewProduct=93426

Both were designed to work with Victoria 4.2. For use, you should be able to access the morphs and materials through the DAZ content path. (The readme documentation included in each should tell you where to look for them once installed).

Do you have Victoria 4.2 Morphs ++? http://www.daz3d.com/victoria-4-2-morphs Most V4 characters require those morphs.
