earthquake debris

I'm trying to create a few earthquake scenes with debris falling from the ceiling.  Are there any good models, brushes or techniques that people can recommend?

Stonemason has a few very good models that could be used

    A couple of examples.

I believe Stonemason's rubble sets also have single rubble pieces in them (Like a single brick or a single rock) Or you could also just create a primitive cube or primitive plane and put a brick or wall texture on that.

And Ultrascatter is very good for distributing the rubble around your scene. Lots of options.

Thanks!  That would make a lot of sense if I valued my time at more than a dollar an hour.  Into the wishlist and the wait for a sale.

I'm looking more for broken ceilings than rubbled floors, but both are important. It would be neat if there was a ceiling quake product that allowed you to dial in cailing distruption.  Probably little market for it, but it'd be useful.

For brushes and photoshop layers, Ron's Explosions from deviney https://www.daz3d.com/rons-explosions has everything you need.  It's not on sale at the moment, but keep in mind that the PA sale is only a week off and just about everything in the store will be 50% off sometime during the month.

For physical 3D debris, I've always had good luck just grabbing random small rubble fields from sets like the ones from Jack Tomalin's PC+ set West Park Legacy https://www.daz3d.com/west-park-legacy and placing them at angles in mid air, then adding falling blur in post.  (The trick is to make the angle extreme enough that it's not obvious from the camera position that they're all on the same plane.)  If if you want really specific looking debris, Dogz Shattered https://www.daz3d.com/shattered is just about the best breaking glass set I've ever seen.  It's not Iray ready out of the box, but apply the free glass shader that comes with DS and you're good to go.  Or use a painted wall shader for the effect of breaking ceiling pieces.  For variety, Coflek-gnorg over at Renderosity has a bunch of really great falling/floating debris sets at very reasonable prices (under $10 at regular price, under $5 if you're a Prime member), and they work great in Iray or 3DL.  I regularly use Archive Inferno (falling burning papers and sparks), Razor Rider: Universal Props (dangling wires, pipes and conduits), and chunks of the Space Debris set. (Fuseling also has a rigged IRAY set at Rendo as an alternate for fire and smoke.)  And if you're looking for free, there are several people with rubble sets at ShareCG like Nonoko, most of which work just fine in DAZ once you add the ubershader.
