How do you delete a hierarchal preset?

I created a few hierarchal presets, some of which I would now like to delete. Can anyone tell me how to do this? I don't see any way to. I deleted the files, but that just leave behind a square with the "Yellow !" symbol in the corner. I am on Mac OS X 10/7. Any help would be appreciated.
