How do you share custom morphs? (Poser 10)

I don't want to do the "recipe" of a loooong list of morph dial settings, because that is such a rookie maneuver. When I try to export the face morph as an .obj file and have the morph box checked, I can't use it because it keeps telling me I have the wrong number of vertices. I have the box for "head" checked.

I don't know anything about Poser, but it sounds like perhaps the morph was created at a different poly count than the base figure. If it's anything like Daz Studio, it's important when doing custom morphs to export the base figure out at the figure's "base" resolution level (not high res) and do the morphs on that figure. Exporting a higher resolution figure and doing a morph on that will make it, as far as I can tell, incompatible with the figure and can't get a morph created out of it. Again, that's just from what I've gathered from doing morphs for Daz Studio, my experiences are limited though and I'm pretty new to it, so I could be wrong.

If you create your morph character from the head and body morphs then the only way you can share them is through a character preset.

While true (with the excption of Merchant Resource sets), that wouldn't be why the load was failing.

That usually happens when there is something other than just the head checked. Go over the list and make certain that every box is unchecked except the one you need, in this case the head. Remember that if there is anything else in the scene at all, hair, clothes, props etc. attached to the figure, those will be end up in the exported morph if you don't remove them first. The checkboxes are small so it's easy to miss one when scrolling through and you'll find when you try loading your new morph that the dread "wrong number of vertices" error strikes again.
