Compatibility issues (characters and clothes)

Hello everybody ! :)

So I'm new here, and have been playing a bit with Daz, which includes buying some add-ons.

But some don't seem to work well, to the point where I'm wondering if I should ask for a refund or if I just don't get it right.

For example, I bought : https://www.daz3d.com/sidereal, and despite the fact that it should work with Gen3 male, well, it doesn't (I click and the props don't appear on him at all, even if the character is selected).

Another instance is Magus clothes, that I have in Daz3, and that don't fit any generation, including base Genesis.

And a few others, you get the drill. So, am I missing something ?

TIA

Sidereal is actually a texture set to apply to clothes in this set: https://www.daz3d.com/dark-whisper-for-genesis-3-males so you need both to be able to use Sidereal.

Okay, that makes sense. Sorry for the newbie mistake, it's quite a lot to take in at first !

This being said, I just tried Sidereal on a Dark Whispers character, and the pants get of out the coat, why and how do I remedy that ?

If you select the DkW Coat in the scen tab, then go to parametrs under the Psoing/Shaping tab you will see, when you expand the ACtor item, a selection of items: Adjustments, Moves and Styles whihc contain a number of options for adjusting the posing of the coat. It looks liek you could use a touch of 'FriotR' under the Moves option.

There may be extra custom bones in the coat for posing, if the bones don't match the figure's bones they can't follow the pose automatically.
