What do you save a hair fit as?

I want to save the fit for the old Wynter Hair for V7 so I can just apply the fit pose instead of having to do it every time. I have the hair parented to her head (so the movement morphs will be saved), and I've fiddled with it to get it to fit well...but I can't remember what I save that "fit" pose as.

...I just usually save the character as a scene subset with several different manual hair fits included, but yeah, it is a klugy was to do it.
Isn't it a "Wearables Preset"?
Heya Jaki ;) I assume you mean the hr2 Poser version and now you're using it in DS on G3.
Since G3 is DS only format I would save a refit in DS format. Once you have your fitting morphs dialled in, select the hair and in the parameters pane top right icon flyout menu "Memorize Selected Item" ... that will make your current settings the default so everytime you "zero" or "restore" it, you go back to this default rather than actual zero without your fitting values.
Then save as "wearable preset". This will save the geometry and morphs in DS format and load faster in future. And if you create other "wearables" , it will call on this data also, so make sure not to delete the data in the folder /data/auto_adapted/aprilyshWynter_23684/ ... etc. That's where DS stores all those!
If I recall correctly (very dim memory) if DS doesn't find this auto_adapted data it will try to find the original obj and poser format hr2.
I might do things differently if the original hair was a poser cr2 (has rigged sections) or a less old rigged hair in duf format.. would have to think about that. Above is for simpler props and prop hairs (pp2 and hr2.)
Hope that helps! :)
@AprilYSH, i swear, if you did a package of G3F and G8F fits for your older hairs, I'd BUY IT!. Seriously, I will send you cold hard money for refits of your older hairs - this is giving me fits. LOL.
Yes, it's the original Wynter Hair for V4 et al which I bought back in 2008: https://www.daz3d.com/wynter-hair as I don't have the Wynter Hair 2 version which was for Genesis and G2F (probably would have been easier to get that one)
A lot of hairs lose their movement morphs/bones when doing autofit, so I'm going through my older hairs, reinstalling and manually fitting them to G3F so I can use them again.
hmmm saving the hair as a wearable preset doesn't work...it wants to save G8F herself as the wearable preset.
I think you need to save it as a shaping preset. That's what I do :)
select g8 herself before you try to save the hair attached to her as a wearable preset :)
If you look at RAMWolff's tut it will help alot https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/1866/ramworks-tutorials-pp2-and-hr2-to-figure-painting-genesis-in-zbrush#latest
