DSON Core? Legacy? What is all this?

After my old computer broke down at the end of last year I have been out of the loop for a while. I now installed DAZ Studio 4.5 and started resetting some of my content (that was before I saw there also is a new Install Manager which I have yet to try out... with over 1600 items in my previous orders that may come in handy).

Anyway now I not only have downloads for PC or mac - I know the difference there :)
But I also get most of the files as

- Poser Companion
- Legacy
- DSON Core

What's the difference between them? And/or which one do I (or can I) use with DAZ Studio 4.5?

    Poser Companion: for those using Poser 9 or PoserPro 2012
    Legacy: for those using DS4.0
    DSON Core: for those using DS4.5 or P9/PP2012

    If you use the Install Manager you can just filter for the software you use.
