Free Daz Cash - the catch for PC+ members
in The Commons
Of course the second someone wants to offer me free cash I'm all in. But as a PC+ member it is not that easy to find DAZ Original items priced over $15 after the discount with the exception of bundles .... I think I have one item in my wishlist over the $15. And since it is not accumulative ie 2 items or more to make up the over $15 it is not that likely I'll use it. Thanks anyway DAZ. :(

yeah, it seems like an odd sale. I have a few hairs and a couple of outfits, on my wishlist that are $15.37 after my PC discount, but nothing I'm really gagging for RIGHT NOW. So I'm not sure I'll even use this. :/
yesterday the base 7 figures were like 22$ thould i was going pickup a few at a nice deal,
but they 31.47 today >.< sigh
I've got enough that I could take full advantage of it ... if I had sufficent Real cash, which I don't. :) And like zombietaggerung, nothing that screams "Hey! You need me right now for X project!" So... we'll see if I actually use it at all.
It still doesn't seem to work. The few items I looked were $29 and $23 after the PC+ discount, but the "free cash" only dropped the cost by $4 instead of the $8 as I read the baner. As I'm getting tired of things that aren't working in the Sale/cart, I emptied my basket.
This has become an almost daily occurrence.
I'm confused- at first, I thought like you did, that EACH item had to be $15. But I'm not sure of that now. Is it the TOTAL of the DO's have to be $15? Can someone check?
Olenna Hair is just at $16 so that one would make sense (to be the only one in the cart, it would reduce it to the price it was back in July) But I want to know if each item has to be $15, or the TOTAL of the items. That comment about the PC discount made me start wondering.
At least one of the DO items in the cart has to be over $15, that will give you a $8 off for the whole cart. Not for each item, not for each qualifying item, but for the whole cart. So it's best to use the coupon one by one, up to five times.
The $8 is taken off the total in the cart not each item. So, if you had both items in the cart only $4 would be taken off each for a total of $8 for the order.
The cost of the item must be greater than $15 after any PC discount. The coupon does not work if the cart total is over $15 but there are no individual DAZ Originals that are over $15 after discounts. I know because I tried that and it didn't work.
I actually thought the code could be used on PC+ items (it doesnt say you can't), but i just tried that with a cart over $15 (after PC+ discount) and it didnt work.
Bummer.

No PC+, memberships, gift certificates, or New Releases. But I'm going to test putting two DO items that TOTAL more than $15 in the cart, and see if that is the way this is working,.
Doesn't work with the $0.99 sale ..
They are all Daz originals and P+ ones.
Useless sale...
NOPE. The items EACH have to be $15 or more. I put two of the $12 ones in the cart and it says coupon not valid. It did work on the Olenna Hair which was $16.
Also it should work on PC+ items ($15 or more after discounts each)
There can't be many people left out there who still think this place is about art and not about shopping. There are other costs involved in spending half the day making five orders when we could be making one. Time is money, and life's too short. I'm passing this one up too.
It's usable for a couple of days. Let's see what tomorrow will bring. It might come handy, who knows? :)
Best option, based on my tests, is 5 separate purchases with a single qualifying item (Daz O of roughly $20 or more before PC+ discount) in order to get the full $8 off
Yep, (except of course New Releases won't matter, they're excluded) because some things may change on other items. But then again, many products can go OFF sale by tomorrow too. I'm just looking at the items around $15 as that's the most obvious impact, things go to 65% off if they're 30% discounted already.
Just to quickly work this out- So in order to qulify for the discount you need to find a product that is roughly $22, so that after the 30% PC discount, it comes to around $15.
$15-$8 (voucher) = $7 That is a total saving of around 68% on original price.
or an extra 53% ontop of the standard 30% saving.
The best use of it would be to buy just the part of bundles that you want and leave behind the parts of the bundle you don't but careful because often entire bundle will go on sale for less than the cumalatively discounted items you buy from it using the coupons.
The other thing is just filter for DAZ Originals that you have in your wish list and make 5 separate purchases for them using the coupon.
Not interested, but thanks DAZ.
Here's what I am doing. Go to the shop, select Daz Originals in the drop down. Then sort from highest price to lowest. you can also sort by figure, There are quite a few nice items just over $15. purchase one at a time for around $7-$8 each
That's what I did, but without the purchasing bit.
It's worth bearing in mind that at best this "cash" sale is really just a slight variation on the fairly regular "50% Off DAZ Originals" (occasionally more, IIRC). But often those stack with concurrent store sales of the PAs who made the DOs (sometimes more than one PA) and that substantially lowers the price further still.
So, unless it's something you're chomping at the bit for, once more it can pay to wait.
For the first time, I seem to actually understand how this banner works.
Pick a SINGLE ITEM that costs $15 or more.
Place said item in cart. type in banner code.
$8 dollars will be subtracted from the cost.
DO NOT load cart with items TOTALING up to $15.
DO NOT add an item LESS THAN $15 and expect a discount.
-----------------------------------------------
DO load items one at a time and use this coupon up to 5 times.
EXAMPLE:
This item is a Daz Original (one of the listed vendors)
It costs $17.47, which is more than $15. I want it.
I add it to my cart and use the code.
It now costs me $9.47.
I buy it for that and will use the code from the Orange Banner FOUR MORE TIMES.
On a second note, why do males have so few clothing choices?
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA oh man that never gets old.
For-real. I can't dress my characters. lol
We get 1 elf suit.
Boring and bland day wear.
a few corny suits......
Meanwhile, the females get EVERYTHING.
I mean, gol-darn-it, how many SEXY-ELF/knight/demon/cyborg/astronaut-IN-ARMOR suits do you need?
At least make the male counterpart.
I am struggling to find enough stuff to kit-bash my males.....
And it should be easier- 85% of the male outfits don't come with shirts so........
That price history browser gizmo pic above usefull shows how frequently DOs can be cheaper than offers like this.
You nailed it.
Tho we still have a couple days. Never know -- maybe there'll be some stacking.
@Charlie Judge "The $8 is taken off the total in the cart not each item. So, if you had both items in the cart only $4 would be taken off each for a total of $8 for the order."
It didn't work like that for me Charlie. The items I referenced were tired in the cart, one at a time with a new release. $4 was the total discount.
I also read the text several times trying to figure out if it was $8 each item or for the cart. Frankyl the "other than that go nuts" is a bit inconsistent with the "can only be used 5 times".
I would also swear that the Green text stating $8 off the cart total wasb't there when I looked early am in the Central US.
Sorry, DAZ, too late — I already spent my limited budget for the week. Didn't help that I started searching for goodies anyway, and kept finding DOs with a discounted price just under $15. I gave up after trawling through half a dozen store pages.
Is this looking at the complete catalog or what's on sale?
