Is there any new info regarding the possibilty of network rendering using a home render farm with IRAY,... or are we stuck, only able to use one maschine for rendering?

So, I've been wondering this myself. There is an older post here: https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/132951/tutorial-iray-server-render-farm-batch-rendering-for-daz-studio/p1
Which seems...prohibitive.
I was seeing if I could do a simpler method of this using 3Delight as a backend using RIB files exported from Daz.

Following the articles here. I'm very proficient in designing batch flows and things like that, so I was going to see if I could setup a decent batch redering farm for myself.
However, the ribdepends step never produces any output, and of course no error message is forthcoming. And I can't find any documentation on it at all.
Has anyone gone down this route before?
Thanks, so cridgit' post is saying "Once DAZ Studio supports Iray Server’s “batch” (queue) mode, you can run distributed renders on multiple machines" So I guess the question is, has it been supported now in DAZ with 4.9? Yeah, That post is thorough but pretty lengthy it will take me some time to see I can even figure it out, but I’m kind of lazy and hoping for an easier way.
I did see a plug-in called "Farm It" that claims to do distributed IRAY rendering on multiple machines; I have yet to investigate further.
As far as versluis post on how to do RIB distributed rendering is a long shot the way recent Daz releases change the way some of these older methods worked (Sometimes unexpected quirks will come that can leave you baffled for days) unless you simply use the same old version of Daz to accomplish it. But you never know until you give it a try.
VCA's from Nvidia are out of the question due to price. I can build a decent computer much cheaper (less the 4 extra GPU's instead of Eight) So I wonder if anybody has successfully tried Cridgit's method with any success especially with rendering IRAY animations
