How are you installing G8?

It may have already been covered somewhere, but I can't find it so far.

Anyway, what I mean is, are just mixing your G8 stuff in with your G3 - G2 - G stuff, or are you creating new Directories for it?

I have a feeling I would be heading for a real mess if I just loaded it in my existing Directories.

I would be greatful for any clarity and advice, as to how you guys are doing it.

Cheers

Gray

I installed it with Daz Connect. I use Categories and Smart Content to separate things. I don't create separate content directories for different generation characters. You will probably get lots of different opinions. Everybody has their own way of working.

I use DIM. It installs in the appropriate directories. Don't mess with individual directories, although you could install to a customer library, but no need.

But the earlier Genesis generations are already installed in their own separate subfolders of the People folder. When I installed G8F it went into its own new subfolder alongside the existing earlier generation folders, there's no mixing involved at all.

Unless you mean something different — perhaps you're looking at Smart Content/Products/Categories and it looks a bit muddled? Can you post a screenshot to show exactly what kind of "mixing" you mean?
