Rigged water issues and problems
Hi gang:
I recently purchased the rigged water package, and was wondering if someone could give me a handle understanding it. what I don't understand is the following. I know if you choose the item (in my case the square volume of water) I choose this, then stretch it out till I have a good surface area filled. Next I go to use the colour shaders I double clicked this, but nothing happens. I choose blood or some other shader and nothing, this is kind of frustrating because as a Scubaphile, I need water in my scenes. I have tried using the underwater ambiance pack in concert with the former and again, NOTHING changes, no colour, viscosity. Can someone offer me some insights as to what I might be doing wrong. As always I appreciate you folks and your counsel. ALOT of you know your stuff, which is why i prefer asking here than to go to Youtube to watch a bunch of videos - a which often dont give me the info I need, or are done soo rushed, I have to keep rehitting repeat to catch everything. When you say 'nothing changes' are you actually rendering or just relying on the viewport?
Which program and version are you using?
When applying a shader or shader preset make sure you have the object selected in the scene tab and the surface selected in the surfaces tab.
Also many times you won't notice much of a change in shaders in IRAY without being in preview mode.
