If you are having trouble with black and dark brunette type hair color making thew hair look too flat change the glossy color to a lighter grey or a lighter brown. Also, I used Painter's Lights which is a studio style lighting setup that is designed to accuate shadows. Did I spell accuate wrong? What is the word I want? Accentuate, I think.

All my settings are in this attached zip file. For the hair shape and color two, just change the colors to the colors you need in Surfaces tab. It is more important to use two or even three colors or more in the surfaces tab for dark hair to bring out the volume - there is good reason people wear black to look slimmer.

The G8toG3 shader settings I saved don't include images so you can use them on G3 texture sets, also they are slightly altered to be like AndyS and a lot of others talked about for proper PBR settings for pale human skin in iRay but not completely. I use the latest DAZ Studio Beta 4.9.1.122 but DAZ Studio 4.9.1.117 has the Genesis 8 shader feature enhancements too. For tan skin you should save the Genesis 8 shader settings unaltered and imageless to use on Genesis 3 and earlier Genesis characters. I will save those in the next couple of days and post them. They are the settings for base G8F.
