Giant ant and other bugs

I want to see giant ants and other bugs but with up to date technology.  Giant ants would be great for either horror/dystopian or fairies/honey I shrunk the kids type renders.

actually the second would be cool.  A little pixie environment with big birds (not Sesame Street kind) and big insects.   How about a big worm!

    Hmm... I know there is a recent Giant Spider and I think Sixus1 Media did a Mantis like creature some months back.

    As far as giant creepy-crawlies go, an up-to-date actual mantis would be nice, as would a cricket or some more beetles, but something I'd really like to see is a giant velvet worm.

    Are they not adorable?

    when you say "up to date technology", what exactly are you looking for or not looking for?  Iray materials, better posing ability, something else, etc.

    I don't know about the OP, but I mean better posing ability and more lifelike, detailed models.
