 CPU Cooler : The 212X that you have listed does not have a socket AM4 bracket in the box, you would need to order it from Cooler Master. (The 212 Led Turbo and the 212 Plus have it in the box)

• Memory : Corsair makes good RAM
• Video Card : With how expensive that "Hybrid" card is, you might as well spend the $509 and get a GTX 1080 (The GTX 1070 is a 150W card, that hybris setup is complete overkill)
• Storage - SSD :  I would go with 2x smaller M.2 cards and run them as a raid instead of 1 2.5in SATA SSD (WD Black 512GB Performance SSD - M.2 2280 PCIe NVMe Solid State Drive - WDS512G1X0C / 256GB WDS256G1X0C)
• What exactly are you trying to do with the items in the "Other" category.  The motherboard that you have selected has 5x USB 3.1 ports and 1x USB type C port on the back + 2 internal USB 3.1 headers for 4 more 3.0 Ports.

Nice processor, cheap CPU cooler. Don't settle for a 1070, go for 1080ti by cheaping down to a ryzen 1600 or even 1500, 250g SSD,16g ram, cheaper case.

Water cooling makes me nervous,  is there another cpu fan I should consider? 

The case is expensive but I was  killer case and I love this one.

I have no issues with the cooler you have chosen (other than needing to choose one that comes with the socket AM4 bracket), That build style is very good at moving the heat away from the CPU and sending it in the direction you want it to go (directly into the can venting out the back of the tower in my builds)

You do not need to consider liquid cooling unless you are planning to massively overclock your CPU.

That makes sense why you seem to have a random assortment of drives. (you might still want to look into getting a pair of those WD SSDs to run in raid though. plus they have a 5 year warranty)

You have enough USB 3.0 ports on that motherboard, tha tI would not bother with adding in an extra card

Have you checked out the Corsair Carbie 400C as well? Similar styling but a bit smaller. Still has good airflow. Maybe 30 - 50 bucks less. Could save another 50 bucks or so by going with the Ryzen 7 1700 instead of 1700x. By most professional review accounts, they're practically identical sicne you can overclock it. 

If you could add the fans later, or just get by with the stock fans, that'd save you another 40 bucks or so. So that gives you another 120 or so to upgrade the gpu or grab faster RAM. Ryzen appears to benefit from faster ram more than other processors. You could also add the 4TB drive later to save another 100 bucks for right now. That puts you into the range of an air-cooled gtx 1080ti, like the Asus Strix or MSI Duke models.

Also, once you have everything together, make sure you have updated AMD chipset drivers: http://www.amd.com/en-us/products/chipsets/am4

That is very good advice but i really want to try to custom mod a case, noting complicaed just an orange finish and maybe a few custom add ons. i found a custiom build website that sells these large metal buttons for the powere switch that i'm dying to get.
